Sarinah is located in a bustling area only 10-15 minutes from Morrissey Hotel, where cafes, clubs, and fast food restaurants are open 24 hours, seven days a week.

The National Monument (Indonesian: Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 m (433ft) tower in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence.
Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil.

One of the first movie theatres in Jakarta, Djakarta Theatre has two studios equipped with Dolby surround sound and is just 10 minutes walking distance from Morrissey. The ground floor has a food court with lots of options including Starbucks and Burger King.
Located in this thriving creative area is Taman Ismail Marzuki, the most famous art and theater complex in Jakarta. This large complex was built in 1968 on the site of a former zoo, and is now one of Jakarta's premier art and cultural centers. There are theaters, galleries, a cinema, art school, planetarium and bookstore.
Depending on the date you might find a music performance, a film screening, a poetry reading or something else entirely. The other fascinating place near Cikini is Cikini Train Station. More than 50 years old, this historic train station is worth checking out – sometimes there are even exhibitions and flower markets held there. Cikini is 7 minutes from Morrissey by taxi – discover Jakarta’s cultural side.
Jalan Surabaya in the Central Menteng area is well known for its antiques market. You can see kiosks/shops selling antiques like wayang, porcelain, Wooden sculpture, mask, silver and brass cutlery, antique lamp, metal souvenir, old fashion ornament, old telephone, camera, woven cloth, phonograph record, and anything else you can imagine.
